According to President Zelenskyy’s official post on social platform X, a residential building in Smila was struck, resulting in injuries, including a child victim. Emergency services are actively responding to the damage across multiple regions.

🕊️ A National Loss: F-16 Pilot Killed in Defense
Amid the defense operations, Ukrainian F-16 pilot Maksym Ustymenko was killed while intercepting Russian aerial threats. Zelenskyy noted that the pilot had successfully destroyed seven enemy aerial targets during the attack.
“My condolences to his family and brothers-in-arms. Ukrainian aviation is heroically protecting our skies,” Zelenskyy said.

Meanwhile, peace negotiations have collapsed, with Russia making aggressive advances in eastern Ukraine. Citing CNN, ANI reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed Ukraine’s sovereignty, saying:
“I consider the Russian and Ukrainian peoples to be one people… all of Ukraine is ours.”
