A major national seminar titled “Bharat Manthan 2026” is set to begin on April 6 at Deshbandhu College under University of Delhi. The six-day academic event will continue until April 11, bringing together scholars, researchers, and students from across India.

The seminar is being jointly organized by Indraprastha Study Centre along with several prestigious institutions, including Jawaharlal Nehru University, Central University of Haryana, and Central University of Himachal Pradesh.

Theme Focused on Panch Parivartan

The theme of Bharat Manthan 2026 is “Implementation of Panch Parivartan in the Context of Human Welfare: Challenges and Solutions.” The seminar aims to highlight five key areas—social harmony, family values, environmental protection, self-reliance (Swadeshi), and civic responsibility.

These themes are closely aligned with the vision of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which is currently marking its centenary year. The initiative seeks to encourage discussions on building a harmonious and value-based society.

Inaugural Session at Deshbandhu College

The inaugural session will be held at Deshbandhu College on April 6. The first day will focus on the theme of “Kutumb Prabodhan” (family awareness and values).

Several eminent personalities are expected to attend, including Vinod Sharma ‘Vivek’, Prof. Rakesh Kumar Pandey, and Ajey Ji, former intellectual head of the northern region of RSS. Other notable attendees include Prof. Geeta Bhatt, Director of NCWEB, and Prof. Rajendra Kumar Pandey, Principal of Deshbandhu College.

Vice Chancellors such as Prof. Tankeshwar from the Central University of Haryana and Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh are also expected to participate.

Multi-Venue Academic Engagement

Bharat Manthan 2026 will be conducted across multiple colleges of Delhi University. Each day will focus on a specific theme:

  • April 7: Environmental Protection at Motilal Nehru College
  • April 8: Social Harmony at Kirori Mal College
  • April 10: Self-awareness and Civic Responsibility at Shaheed Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College

These sessions will witness participation from teachers, research scholars, and students from various institutions in Delhi and the National Capital Region.

Strong Academic Participation

The seminar has received an overwhelming response, with more than 150 research paper submissions and over 500 registrations. Participants from across the country are expected to present their research and engage in meaningful academic discussions.

Organizers believe that the event will serve as an important platform for exchanging ideas and addressing contemporary social challenges through academic perspectives.

Emphasis on Human Welfare and Social Values

A key objective of Bharat Manthan 2026 is to promote human welfare by integrating academic research with social values. The organizers aim to draw attention to character-building and ethical responsibility within the academic community.

Indraprastha Study Centre, known for promoting national thought and cultural values, has played a crucial role in conceptualizing the seminar. The institution regularly organizes intellectual activities to strengthen discourse on society, culture, and nation-building.

Valedictory Session at Ramjas College

The seminar will conclude on April 11 at Ramjas College. The final day will include research presentations by participants from outside Delhi, followed by a dialogue session and valedictory ceremony.

Organizers have planned a structured closing session to summarize key insights and recommendations from the seminar.
