The Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) of the University of Delhi has officially opened undergraduate admissions for the 2025 academic session, offering 15,200 seats across 26 centres in the capital. The initiative, exclusive to Delhi-resident women, is a part of DU’s mission to provide accessible, affordable, and flexible education to women who cannot attend regular college due to social, financial, or personal challenges. Flexible Learning Without CUET NCWEB currently offers two undergraduate programmes: B.A. (Programme) B.Com Admissions are based on Class 12 marks, not CUET scores. The registration window is open for three weeks through the official portal:🔗 https://ncwebadmission.uod.ac.in The first merit list will be released shortly after the registration period ends. Education Aligned with Empowerment NCWEB Director Professor Geeta Bhatt emphasized the board’s role in advancing women’s education in India. “Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board truly embodies the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said Professor Bhatt in a statement to PTI. “This institution is a ray of hope for girls facing social or financial constraints. It allows them to pursue higher education while managing jobs, family responsibilities, or caregiving roles,” she added. Weekend Classes, Real Impact Classes under NCWEB are conducted only on Saturdays or Sundays, allowing women to balance education with daily responsibilities. Students also have access to: The Delhi University e-library Libraries of their host colleges Financial assistance and book loan facilities for deserving candidates Professor Bhatt further explained that NCWEB leverages existing DU infrastructure to provide education to thousands of women at minimal cost, making it a sustainable and inclusive model. A Legacy of Empowerment Founded in 1944 with just three students, NCWEB has grown into a powerful movement with over 31,000 women learners enrolled today. Beyond academic credentials, it offers women the dignity of choice, independence, and the ability to transform their future.
