Yuva Kumbh Held at Delhi University Marks RSS 100 Years, Calls for Youth Role in Nation Building

A large-scale youth event titled Yuva Kumbh was organized at the University of Delhi on Sunday to mark 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The programme was jointly hosted by RSS Jhandewalan Department and the PG Centre of Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board at Shankarlal Hall, Delhi University.

The event focused on encouraging youth participation in nation building, character development, and social responsibility. More than 400 students attended the programme, reflecting strong interest in discussions related to leadership and national service.

Eminent Guests Attend the Programme

The programme was attended by several distinguished guests. Monika Dhir joined as the Chief Guest. The keynote address was delivered by Uttam Kumar.

The event was also graced by Prof. Geeta Bhatt, who attended as Patron. Other dignitaries present included Chaman Ji and student affairs coordinator Ramendra Ji.

Due to unavoidable reasons, Prof. Balram Pani could not attend the programme.

Welcoming the guests, Prof. Geeta Bhatt outlined the purpose of the event. She said that youth play a vital role in shaping the future of the nation. She also noted that organizations committed to service and national character remain active during emergencies and social challenges.

Uttam Kumar Highlights India’s Civilizational Vision

In his keynote speech, Uttam Kumar spoke about the vision of RSS founder K. B. Hedgewar and the need for an organized, positive, and self-aware society. He said that India has always represented a spiritual outlook while also carrying a rich tradition of knowledge and science.

He remarked that India is not merely a piece of land but a motherland that inspires duty and devotion. He urged students to contribute to national progress through honesty, dedication, and selfless service.

He further said that the responsibility of youth is to uphold values while participating actively in social transformation.

One of the major highlights of the programme was an interactive dialogue session where students asked questions related to the RSS, youth leadership, and national development. Organizers said the session was designed to address curiosity and encourage open discussion among participants.
